As this testcase appears to have broken nearly all other gcc/egcs versions
would it be a good candidate for the testsuite?
I don't know. We don't add test cases to the test suites of the
released versions; those are frozen. I don't know whether there is
already a test in the test suite testing for the same bug.
IOW, people fixing bugs typically put a test case into the suite when
the bug is fixed. So for every bug fixed, there should be a test case
testing for it.
