Error in cc and gcc compiler for Dragonlinux

I installed Dragonlinux and tried to compile a program using both cc and gcc.
The file was in my current directory, and the path where cc and gcc reside is
in my path. I got this error message with both:
(g)cc: installation problem, cannot exec 'cc1': No such file or directory
what does this mean?
