Internal compiler error, gcc-2.95, gcc-2.95.1 on ARM

One of my colleagues reports an internal error while building
sendmail-8.9.3-11.src.rpm with the following compiler and OS.

gcc version 2.95.1 19990816 (release)
Linux andrewm-nw4 2.2.9-1 #1 Mon Jul 5 18:55:49 EDT 1999 armv4l unknown

I have reproduced it with the following:

gcc version 2.95 19990728 (prerelease)
Linux fermi 2.2.10 #24 Wed Aug 18 16:32:55 EDT 1999 armv4l unknown

Compiling domain.c from sendmail with the following:

gcc -da -dp -dA -save-temps -O -I. -I/usr/include/db1 -DNEWDB -DNIS
-O2 -fsigned-char -fomit-frame-pointer -DXDEBUG=0 -c
domain.c -o domain.o

yields the following error:

domain.c: In function `getmxrr':
domain.c:380: internal error--unrecognizable insn:

(insn 1674 1673 318 (set (reg:SI 4 r4)
        (umin:SI (reg/v:SI 4 r4)
            (const_int 8192 [0x2000]))) -1 (nil)
    (nil))

The .i file is attached.
