FYI, I do not get a failure from that example on gcc-2.95 compiler
targeted to AIX. Looking over the RTL produced by the AIX targeted
compiler and the machine description, I don't see how the compiler ever
could try the counter register for an add instruction. What does the
.lreg file say about the preferences for pseduo 141?
