Since I don't have the snapshot tar-ball, and since you seem to, and
since downloading it would take me a long time :-(, would you post the
differences between the snapshot ChangeLog and the current 1.1 branch
ChangeLog? That might help us to pinpoint the problematic change. If
you're feeling especially energetic, you might even go adding those
changes one by one until the program breaks.
