Now if this were the case wouldn't I find a symbol in one of the
libraries that had a was unresolved __register_proc_info when I did an
nm?
I would assume so.
So are you suggesting recompiling glibc with egcs?
Since I don't understand what the problem is, I am hesitant to suggest that
you try things, as they might make the problem worse.
I know a lot about egcs, but I know little about how Linux handles a system
with multiple libc versions installed, and that is really where the problem
lies.
