The patch didn't make it into your message.
In any case, we almost certainly already have the patch in our development
sources. We occasionally merge from the gcc2 development sources, so anything
added to gcc2 will eventually end up in egcs. The last merge was only a few
weeks ago.
Since gcc 2.8.x and egcs 1.0.x have different release teams, patches added
to gcc 2.8.x won't necessarily appear in later egcs 1.0.x release, unless the
patch was submitted to both places.
We aren't planning on making further egcs-1.0.x releases except for critical
problems, as we are trying to work towards an egcs-1.1 release now.
