Sounds like some posting by Jason Merill one year ago, regarding gcc,
back then... :->

I strongly second this (and actually I would have sent this as a
suggestion right now, hadn't I seen Mark's message).
About one third (or more?) of all bug reports to egcs-bugs now are for
1.0.2 and most of these do not occur in the current CVS sources any more.
How is the public and cygnuish opinion about that?
