egcs 1.0.2 Bug Report

While attempting to compile QT version 1.32 I received the following
message:

qmenubar.cpp: In method `int QMenuBar::calculateRects(int = -1)':
qmenubar.cpp:619: Internal compiler error.
qmenubar.cpp:619: Please submit a full bug report to
`egcs-bugs@cygnus.com'.

make[1]: *** [widgets] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/qt/src'
make: *** [src] Error 2

I am *not* a programmer so I am somewhat at a loss as to how best to
give you whatever information you may need. I have attached the
apparently offending file, but that might not be of much help.

If you let me know what I can do to get you more information I will be
happy to do so.

QT, BTW, is needed to compile and run KDE. I have only been able to get
KDE running by using .rpm files but I want to be able to compile from
scratch since by using rpms I am locked in to whatever version and
options the maker compiled. The fellow who made the rpms used version
1.31 of QT, and some new apps need 1.32. He has not released anything
with QT 1.32 - he may be having the same problem I am (he did say that
he used egcs 1.0.1 to compile).

I have heard that c++ is pretty broken on RedHat 5.0 Alpha, the stock
gcc certainly does not handle it well. I was hoping egcs would do a
better job. It does compile a kernel just fine but I don't think there
is any c++ code there.

Also, I got this same error with egcs version 1.0.1, which I had
installed using rpms. The version of egcs 1.0.2 that I am now using was
compiled from your sources, apparently with no errors.
