No, I figured it out. It all works.
The new include files are being placed in:
${prefix}/lib/gcc-lib/${target}/egcs-x.xx.xx/include
I've been telling egcs to grab the headers from /usr/include explicitly
for my project. I'll either need to change or remove this.
