Finally, I have stripped the duplicate patches from 'quad_gen.diff', 
then I have applied 'quad.diff' and successively 
'quad_gen-stripped.diff'. So, I have tried to build, but it fails after 
a while:

config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: error: cannot find input file: `libgfortran.spec.in'
make[1]: *** [configure-target-libgfortran] Error 1
