Generate Interface Files

I see that generating interface files is a requested Gfortran
enhancement--an enhancement that I would love to have usable for my
F77 => F95 project.
Is anyone working on that enhancement? If so, is there any hope of it
being in 4.5?
At the moment I am working on using the output of --fdump-parse-tree'
to generate interface files through a Perl script, but perhaps my time
may be better spent helping with the enhancement. Is that a feasible
project for a novice in gcc internals?
