Good catch! Thanks. May be this should be diagnosed at compile time?
Perhaps two options: use "implicit none" or a compiler warning flag.
Nevertheless, the example (fixed) does not compile with GNU Fortran
(GCC) 4.1.2 20070925 (Red Hat 4.1.2-33) what version are you using ?
