I happen to have a x86-linux machine, whose dark and lonely nights I
could donate for building gfortran. I also think that providing
binaries is a very helpful service for many people (including me), so
I can just as well do it myself.

Thanks for your offer. It so happens that I have already received an offer (by off-list mail) and I'm currently setting the process up again. But, I have no doubt that you may find useful things to do with yours.
