Yes, I'm just waiting to see how my addition of an ISO C99 conformant
(and long double aware) snprintf replacement to mingw runtime is
accepted by other mingw developers. If I can use that it will allow
long double to be used in gfortran.
If no consensus is acheived before 4.2.1 is official, I'll release that
with long double disabled.
