Ok, sorry, but I thought the functionality of makedepf90 was planned to be included into gfortran, in order to provide something similar to gcc -M. That would be a very convenient feature when working with fortran 90 projects.

We do have plans ot include -M options into gfortran, but it will be done using gfortran's own parser, not an external dependency. I do agree with you that it will be a welcome feature.
