Hi,

I understood FX comment to mean that gfc_offset is sort of redundant since it's always off_t anyway, i.e. one could do a search-and-replace in libgfortran replacing all occurences of gfc_offset with off_t.

That's not what I meant. In fact, wouldn't there be cases where we could use something other than off_t for gfc_offset (like an off64_t), for large files support on some systems?
