Timing regression for fatigue.f90 on OSX 10.3

I just ran the polyhedron test suite on a G95 (1.8Ghz) under OSX 10.3.9 (built through fink script)
and I noticed a significant timing regression for the fatigue test:

GNU Fortran 95 (GCC) 4.2.0 20060610 (experimental)
gave ~25s

GNU Fortran 95 (GCC) 4.2.0 20060708 (experimental)
gave ~38s

all the other test timings are within the error margin. Can someone confirm that?
Note that http://www.suse.de/~rguenther/polyhedron/ reports a flat timing for this period of time.

TIA

Dominique
