trunk build problems..

Subject: trunk build problems..

i'm having problems building the trunk on x86_64 and on OS X.  the x86_64 
is having problems when trying to build the 32 bit version of things.  the 
OS X caused an ICE in gcc because 'verify_ssa' failed.  the trunks are 
both from today.  is anyone else seeing any problems like these?
