"obsolete" vs. "obsolescent"

Gfortran calls code with an arithmetic IF "obsolete".
I think the word "obsolescent" should appear instead,
since that is the word that appears in the standard
and since the "obsolescent" features of a language are
still part of the language. The committee is just
warning that they may become "obsolete" in FUTURE
standards and removed.
