gfortran and suse 10.0

gfortran does not seem to work w/ suse 10.0.
I suppose the basic problem is with suse having gone
to 4.X of gcc. (a g77 rpm does not come with 10.0.)
Is this expected to be fixed any time soon?
Is there some way to get fortran for suse 10.0?
