I've been meaning to read over your patch, but have very
little time.  FreeBSD, my OS of choice, supports only a
handle full of the long double versions of the C99 math
functions, so I've taken up the challenge of implementing
some (or all) of the missing functions.  After I finish
up writing those functions, the same code can be relicensed
to provide any missing REAL(10) or REAL(16) functions.
