Here is how I got it. Should I be using something different?

A gfortran package for Windows is available as zip archive at http://quatramaran.ens.fr/~coudert/gfortran/gfortran-windows.zip <http://quatramaran.ens.fr/%7Ecoudert/gfortran/gfortran-windows.zip> .
This is a standalone package, which means you don't need anything else
to compile and run Fortran programs.

It's the usual way to do it. That means I'll have to do the debug (by thursday, as I said).
