Attached for your consideration is a proposed test for large (> 2 Gb), direct access files. It passes "make check-f95" on my Linux system running Fedora Core 2 with bootstrapped gfortran from the snapshot available 19 Nov. I have a release on file for g95 with the FSF from a short association with Andy Vaught in late 2003 (see attachment 2). Do I need another specifically for gfortran if I plan to contribute more significantly? Tom Browder
