These are two different projects that have the same root (namely
g95.sourceforge.net). The other has since moved to gcc.gnu.org/
fortran, where it happily thrives. Personally, I'm using the compiler
from this [the moved] project, and I don't know about the current state
of the other.
The focus of g95.sourceforge.net is to write a clean compiler from
scratch, while the other concentrates on incorporating it into gcc. I
hope that the main gcc web page will link to gcc.gnu.org/fortran a bit
more prominently soon, so that it actually appears in the search
engines. Maybe updating gcc-g95.sourceforge.net is in order?
This mailing list is now dead, superceded by the fortran mailing list at
gcc.gnu.org.
